I have seen a few post to fix or lose "brutal mauling" for the bear. Heres my idea to make pets more useful and more fun.

a= adreniline
c= cast
r= recharge

Bear
brutal mauling 6a 1c 10r
causes bleeding for 5 secs

Birds (moa,crane etc)
Eye Peck 6a 1c 10r
causes blindness for 5 secs

Rat
Vermins Bite 6a 1c 10r
disease for 8 secs

Spider
Poison sting 6a 1c 10r
poison for 5 secs

Cats
Swat 6a 1c 10r
Causes Dazed for 5 secs

Warthog
Gouge 6a 1c 10r
Deep wound for 5 secs

Hyena/wolf
Hamstring 6a 1c 10r
Cripple for 5 secs

Phoenix *either same as other birds or....
Phoenix rage 6a 1c 10r
Burning 2 secs

Dune lizzard
Dragons bite 6a 1c 10r
Disease for 8 secs

Maybe some modifications, tell me what you think. I was thinking it would make having different pets more useful as it stands the bear sucks and all you get is a new skin.

also did i miss anything?

Sure, make the spider, the hardest one to get, the worst of the bunch.

Giving pets free dazed, deep wound, blind, disease? Cmon man, no. Just remove brutal mauling and be done with it.

then whats the point of different pets if they are all the same? as far as un-balanced, it gives one free attack that is conditional. and spider doing poison damage just made since...it is a spider.

If all they changed was to give brutal mauling ANY effect at all (say like Power strike or whatever), I think we'd all agree that would be good enough.

just posting an alternative idea, since anet wont delete brutal mauling.

I would prefer to see it gone but if they intend on keeping it they should give the other pets something useful.
